Thanks for swinging by this colorful little corner of the internet!

I'm Rachel, as you may have guessed, and this is my About section. (Duh.)

In addition to travel, otters, gems and minerals, motorcycles, sour gummy candy, dirty jokes, and neon colors bright enough to make your eyes water, I also love reading and writing modern romantasy books featuring powerful-yet-flawed heroines, unforgettable magic systems, and smoldering romance.

When I'm not hunched over my computer writing (while my cockatoo sits on my shoulder begging for head scratches), you can find me hiking, voice acting as Tana the tiefling on the thrilling DnD podcast, Of Dice and Friends, or hanging out at Rachel's Renergades, the greatest group on the internet, where I chill with readers and generally stir up trouble.

This is my husband / best friend, Aaron, a.k.a. the reason why I became a writer. He also enjoys almonds and head scratches. (And Carrot Cake soda, apparently.)
