An incredible KS ending, a HUGE schmiveaway, and... thricely-engorged t3sticIes?!?!?

WOW.

What a hell of a finish to our incredible Amethysts & Alchemy Kickstarter campaign!!  We set out to raise $15k for a gorgeous book, and ended up funding 800% above our original goal! Because of you, we successfully raised over $120k for an even MORE gorgeous book - now with breathtaking gauffered starburst edges, shimmery end pages, and a lavender bookmark ribbon - AND we got an adorable Topie plushie, to boot! 

Even though we didn't hit that top, extremely lofty stretch goal of $125k - unlocking added gemstones on the book spine - I spoke to my printer last night and the difference in production cost will only be a couple thousand dollars. (Which I of course am covering, not you!) So I have decided to foot that bill regardless of having just narrowly missed that stretch goal. Which means....

WE'RE GETTING MORE GEMSTONES!!!!

And not just for this book, but for the next two special edition Amethysts & Alchemy books: Fire Opals & Family (special edition launching later this year) and Hematites & History (details to come early next year). It is the least I can do for all of your incredible support!

If you missed your window to back the Kickstarter, I will be accepting late pledges for a few more days on Kickstarter, and then launching our pledge manager via Pledgebox early next month. That will allow you to enter shipping info, extra goodies (if you so wish), and even preorder the special edition book and Topie plushie for a limited time if you were unable to pledge during the active KS campaign. For those of you who virtually adopted one of 50 piggies from Hog Haven, that information will be included in the survey as well!

I winced as the bell on the door clanged stridently, only to jingle yet again a few seconds later.

This time, the woman entered with a short, middle-aged, balding fellow who was awkwardly waddling into the store. My eyes widened at the sight of him; this was the same man who’d come in a few weeks ago looking for Viagra so he could keep up with his much younger girlfriend’s robust libido. Skeezy as he’d been, dodging his family doctor so his wife wouldn’t discover his philandering, I was not particularly distraught when he’d rushed out before I had the chance to warn him not to take even a millimeter more than the prescribed one-half dropperful.

Judging by the way he was currently guarding the prominent bulge of his nether-area with two hands, I had to assume he had not read the label closely.

I crossed my arms over my chest, pressing my lips into a tight line to keep my expression in check… right up until the moment he unzipped his trousers and plopped his thricely-engorged testicIes atop my glass counter.

Horrified, I took a step back.

“What the hell did you give me?!” the man yelped, gesticulating belligerently at his genitaIs. They looked a bit like two overripe beefsteak tomatoes, with an ill-fated tomato hornworm squashed between them.

Wide eyes darting toward the container of Lysol wipes I kept near the register, I took a deep breath, working to keep my voice level. “I gave you my proprietary ‘PGO’ emulsion—short for prasiolite, gypsum, and olivine—which, as I already warned you, makes V!agra look like candy in comparison.”

“Yes, and it was working just fine until this happened!” he blustered, his cheeks nearly as red as his testes.

“Did you measure out exactly 0.75 milliliters?” I asked, already knowing the answer to that question.

“More or less!” he sputtered.

“Well”—I inclined my head—“which was it? More or less?”
